The last-minute forecast (about 6 am) said no rain. I started doubting it about 4 miles from the park when it started raining heavily. About 10 minutes before the hike started, it stopped raining. About half an hour into the hike the sun came out and so did the humidity. We did introductions at the Parking Lot. Then followed the Yellow Trail to the Orange Trail than did the Blue Trail Loop back to the Orange Trail. From there we followed the Orange Trail to the Orange Trail Loop and turned left on the Yellow Trail. We detoured briefly to look at the New Manchester Mill Ruins from the west side of Sweetwater Creek and returned to the Parking Lot. Everyone ended up wet from sweat not rain and a little muddy from the earlier rain. Most of the trail was not that bad from the rain, however, where it was muddy it was bad. The forecast was correct, it did not rain during the hike.
