Write Up:Fances, Jennifer, Sandra, Amy, and myself all made the hike to Cloudland Canyon. It was a super day, we leftthe carpool location timely, made it to the site and hiked w/o seeing but 10 people all day! Heck, all ofus took off our hiking pants and changed into shorts w/o worrying about others around.
The scenery is always beautiful over the canyon, and with the sun setting quicker, we noticed the shadowsover the canyon. When we ate lunch we saw a hawk soaring over the canyon and could hear the leavesrustling.
Once we made it back to the trailhead with a lot of time to spare, we hiked down toward the waterfalls.On the way a large rock protrudes from the cliff, making for an excellent photo-op (picture coming soon!). As you can see inthe picture, our group helped defy gravity and gave nature some help. Due to the severe drought plaguingGA, the waterfall was more of a water spill. Ohh well.
All in all, wed go back and do it again, it was a cool hike! No stop off for dinner this time, perhapsin the future.
