Write Up:
We got underway at 6:15 and were soon on the trail that skirts the water's edge.  It was perfect hiking weather plus we had the cool air over the river making it even nicer.  Denise led the way stopping at the main junction points.  We could see the Huntcliffs across the river and had great views of the dam.  Saw some toadshade trillium blooming.  Half way into our hike the sun started dropping faster, so we had to step it up a little bit to get back to the parking lot before it was too dark.  We made it back around 8:15 which put the hike right at 2 hours as planned.  It was a great evening for a hike by the river with some cool people.  Looking forward to next time!
