The morning coolness gave way to very warm, sunny temperatures during our hike to Willeo Park and back - - a 6 mile walk which we took at a comfortable pace.
It was sad to see the effects of the drought as we walked along the area near the Chattahoochee Nature Center. The water level was extremely low and the water itself was yucky. No sign of turtles or any other wildlife there. Further on, the water looked better, and we saw some geese and a beautiful Great Blue Heron wading in the water. ~ Joyce
