What a fantastic morning we had! We enjoyed a cool, clear day for our hike, with the trails in great condition. We were able to keep up a "healthy" pace so that we finished with 5.8 miles under our feet in our allotted 2 hours. After the hike, we arranged to have a celebration in Bette's honor, and there were many contributions to the tailgate array of food and snacks. Folks ate and talked for over half an hour after the hike! It was a very special time.
