It was a great homecoming to return to my Thursday morning group after the holidays. (Thanks to Susan for leading the Thursday hikes the past two weeks.) We didn't have any newbies today, so it was constant friendly conversation among the many friends in the group.

Russ took and early lead up the warm-up hill and never relinquished it. Laurie and Shelley weren't far behind, though.

We didn't see any wildlife today, except for some friendly looking dogs who were hiking with a Chattapoochie dog walker.

We kept up a steady, brisk pace finishing with about 5.8 miles in 2 hours.
