Write Up:

We did introductions at the Visitor Center it was sunny yet still a bit cold, however it warmed up quickly and we had to delayer. We hiked over to the Homestead Trail following it in a clockwise direction. The water level was low. After completing the loop, we hiked the White Tail Trail. At the end we saw boats fishing and stopped to enjoy the view. On the way back we followed the trail to the beach. The water lever was higher than it has been on past events, nevertheless, we were able to walk short distance into the lake. Heading back to the Visitor Center, at the point where the trail comes close to the beach, we saw two ducks from a distance. We walked over to the shoreline. While standing there the ducks changed course and came at us, they walked ashore, expecting us to feed them. When we did not feed them, they walked back to the shore and let us watch them try to find food in the shallow water in front of us. We than retuned to the Visitor Center.
