Our first hike of the day was great. We followed the plan of hiking 1.5 hours, and covering 4 miles.  We did it and a bit more. We were happy to welcome Diana Sierra into the AOC with her very well-behaved dog, Jazz.  We saw a herd of 7 deer relaxing in the woods plus a rather large snapping turtle beside the trail.  It was a great start to our day. ~ Joyce
