Carpe Diem. Seize the Day.

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.

We seized this day and had a wonderful time gathering in our small group. We summited Stone Mountain, then traversed around the perimeter, while appreciating the new buds on the trees and wildlife in the woods. Near the end of our hike, we stopped to smell the roses, so to speak, and savored one another's company to share some words of wisdom. We heard from poets as diverse as Billy Collins, William Wordsworth, Robin Williams (there was a William theme!) and original poetry from one of our own AOC members. We saw deer, lizards, dogs, and humans. And saw and heard lots of birds. It was a bluebird sky kind of day and we felt lots of gratitude.
