The forecast was for scattered thundershowers 60%, but we tried to get it in and got lucky...not a raindrop and we could see from summit that the dark clouds and storms stayed well south of us.  It was still mostly cloudy, and while we missed the sun, we enjoyed the cooler temps with the storm front coming in...probably in the mid 70s and breezy when we started out.

We headed up and visited The Boulder and then the climbing wall where Carol soundly defeated her acrophobia, at least on this occasion.  Then we headed higher to the top...could walk along the entire western edge of the rockface as it was very dry.  We stopped at the obligatory photo spot but only myself and Alan S partook this time.

But we hung out some at the south overlook and then at the summit...took the third of our group photos right on top...then headed down to the sunset overlook.  We didn't get much of a sunset although a few pretty colors as the sun was mostly obscured by clouds on the horizon.  We knew we weren't going to get a good moonrise, so headed down with still a lot of light.  Headlamps came on 2/3 of the way down and then back to the cars.  I think this was the 14th hike I've lead to Yonah and another very satisfying one. - Tony C
