It was really relaxing to take a walk with lots of stops on the boardwalk, watching egrets fly, a goose balancing on one leg, a bunch of geese on a tiny island, a turtle, and lots of wildflowers and plants. Despite all the stops, we did our 4.5 miles in the allotted two hours.

Although our hike welcomed beginners, we didn't have any! Just a bunch of close friends and Jonny, who has done plenty of hikes, just not in Roswell.

The day was bright and cool, with a strong breeze that wasn't as bad as we thought it might be. Really excellent hiking weather.
