We had a great group of 8 hikers today at Mulberry Creek. The weather was perfect for a morning of hiking. We hiked under sunny, blue skies with temperatures in the 50's to the 60's. The trails were in good shape, especially the new boardwalk over the swampy area built by the Boy Scouts and trail volunteers. Everyone made it over all the creek crossings successfully, with minimal grumbling. Lots of wild flowers were blooming, especially the blackberry bushes along the trail.  We met a birdwatcher near Morgan Falls Dam who told us about all the migrating birds he had seen this morning.  There were a lot of them. It was a fun hike for all.
