Two of the group did a little "3-mile extra credit" by walking from Powers Ferry Landing to our meeting spot at Columns Drive. Our first stop was the Akers Mill turnaround point after we passed under the bridges at Interstate Parkway and I-285. I pointed out "Riverbend Apartment Complex" famed for where the real-life protagonist depicted in the movie "Catch Me If You Can" lived and for its "swinging" reputation in the 70's. There was great weather and it even warmed up as we left the river and began the climb. We moved at a leisurely pace but still finished 10 - 15 minutes early.
