It was great to see Trena today, down from Washington state for a couple of weeks. She was president of the AOC through three very productive, growing AOC years, and an active trip leader as well. I, and many others, miss her so much. It was great that so many of today's members knew her and were looking forward to seeing her.

Our hike was great, with cool air, dry trails, and cloudless skies. A perfect day for hiking! What made it extra special were all the spring flowers in bloom. What marvelous colors greeted us throughout our hike, but especially by the trail paralleling Oxbo Road as we headed toward the bridge. That trail is very narrow, and mountain laurels (pink and white) were in full bloom bordering the trail.
