We had a nice hike up Mount Yonah..not quite as hot as it has been lately and we had a cooling breeze much of the time.  We took our time on the way up and stopped at the boulder where any angry buzzard almost attacked us...was flying down close to us and hissing...maybe we were close to its nest? 

We headed up to the climbing wall and watched some guys rappel down the main face.  Then headed up to the top...everyone walked on the "edge" and we stopped for an extended photoshoot at that great rock outcropping (see pics).  Then headed to the southern overlook and up to to the summit proper. 

On the way over there, a small plan was flying towards us right at eye level...flew right towards us and then veered off...he made a couple more flybys and it was fun to watch.  We enjoyed a sweet sunset and the pink clouds and then headed down...there were too many clouds to wait 90 min for the moonrise so just called it a day.  But yet another fun time at Yonah and just makes us look forward to some hikes there in the fall.  - Tony C
