What a great day at Sand Rock. We started the day early at 7:30am central time and hit the crag right away. We had the place to ourselves to start and decided a couple warm up runs on our faves were in order (Bird, and Fleas). We wandered around the rock to pickup oyster and that eight. That's about the time the rest of the crew hit the scene, and bam we were rock'n three ropes! We stayed there for quite a while much to the dismay of waiting onlookers. Hey, ya gotta start early. An advance team took off to check out routs down at new wall, and after some time the rest of the party joined for more relentless climbing. We kept going until the heat and fatigue had us tapping the mat. We pulled out of the parking lot well past 4pm.
