Hiking at Sope Creek was great today. Not too warm, and we caught a refreshing breeze throughout the hike. Our pace was comfortably moderate so that we clocked in 5.2 miles in a little over 2 hours.

It was great to celebrate Dolores's 300th AOC event with her today. She would have reached three hundred long ago were it not for her knee replacement surgery. Fortunately, she's all better and building up to D4 hikes.

Dolores surprised everyone with a delicious bunt cake and lemonade after the hike. Then, a group of 7 of us went to lunch at Rose & Crown where we had a nice lunch and talk-time. ~ Joyce
