A lovely day for a hike and a lovely group to hike with! It was nice to be in Sope Creek this morning, with the trails wet enough to discourage all cyclists. Because we had two newbies who had never seen the ruins (Anne and Jennifer), we headed there first; Then we made our way through Sope Creek to Cochran Shoals just far enough to see the cemetery.

Our pace was a comfortable moderate (about 2.6 mph), so everyone was able to breath throughout and enjoy lots of friendly conversation.

I was so happy to see Evy on the hike with us. 4 1/2 months after knee replacement surgery, she's doing great!
