Eight great hikers enjoyed fabulous views that made the fact that this was a last-minute substitution irrelevant. We had clear, dry weather that was a bit chilly and windy, but great for a hike that required 2,200 feet of climbing in the first 3 miles! The views were so good that we forgot about the climbing (well, almost). While the route was a last minute substitution due to conditions on the original route, it was so good that I'll be repeating it very soon!
