What a wonderful way to start the new year! It was a beautiful winter morning at Mason Mill and Lullwater parks with many new/newish hikers coming out for the first hiking day of the year. Big welcome to Kate on her very first hike with the AOC. Also, welcome again to single-digit AOC hikers Lori and Judith. Trails were in good shape around the creeks and lake. A couple of blue birds and one hawk were spotted along with the usual ducks in the lake - no herons today. We are all looking forward to many more happy hikes in 2025.
