Write Up:
There were 4 brand new AOC'ers on this event which I think is a record for me.  Welcome to the AOC Yolanda Santiago White, Art Prioletta, Richard Kapiloff, Carolyn Schladensky, and Andy Moler!

No rain today (for a change :-) but the humidity was high and it was hot.  It wasn't as hot and humid as it has been lately because we had a 5 mph breeze from the northwest today.  We got underway at 6:00 PM on the nose as usual and the group wasted no time punkering up Big KM. 

We started to spread out a bit and some may have bitten off more than they could chew, but most everyone made it to Burnt Hickory Road before the 7:00 PM turnaround time.  We were all back at the visitor's center just a bit after the closing time of 8:00 PM.

It was another hard hike today because of the heat.  Looking forward to the season change so that it will get a little bit easier.

Thanks for fighting the traffic to come out to the hike today.  I hope it was what you were looking for.
