I welcomed six newcomers to the AOC this morning at Stone Mountain. The weather was not at its best - we encountered some showers in the middle of the hike, but it definitely could have been worse. We were serenaded by birdsong for the first part of the hike (more than I've ever heard on the Songbird trail). We finally saw sunshine toward the end of the hike. These newcomers had many excellent questions about the club and hiking. The group had a variety of backgrounds and experience. I hope to see them out on the trail again soon!
