A delightful group of good friends for our hike today at Sope Creek. The air maintained a slight chill throughout the hike, despite the clear skies and bright sunshine.
We kept an average 2.5 mph pace which gave us a nice workout without completely depleting us. Our break at the Columns Drive bathroom made a lot of the group very happy.
As we approached Sibley Pond on our return to the parking lot, frogs were making quite a racket! We stopped for a couple of group photos at the deck, after which Tracy and Regina spotted a huge bullfrog right next to the deck. Tracy was able to take a short video of the noisy creature, though only the photo might come through in this album.
We finished our hike at just over 5 miles with time to spare at the end. ~ Joyce
