Is this possibly the last fine spring day we'll have for our Thursday hike before summer weather sets in? I'm grateful that we had such a beautiful, still cool morning, and the mild breeze we occasionally caught was wonderful!

We saw two different sections of splendid Mountain Azaleas during our hike - - one orange and the other bright yellow. We also passed a couple of Wild Comfy plants (thanks for the ID on these, Drew!).

All vets today, so we kept up a strong, steady pace and covered 5.3 miles which included a few stops for water and one to have a mass greeting of the rangers in the Visitor Center.

The Chattapoochee pups were out today, as was Bob Goldman, a former AOC member whom we frequently see on our Thursday morning hikes.
