We had 14 strong hikers for our hike at Island Ford this morning.  Despite the ominus weather forecast, we had sunny skies and mild temperatures.  Never give up on a hike. The trails were in pretty good shape with only a few muddy spots.  We covered 6.4 miles with about 620 feet of elevation while averaging 2.7 mph (even after and extended stay at the visitor center). 

We welcomed Wally on his 3rd AOC hike and David on his 5th. I hope they had a good time and will join us on many more hikes.
