These rainy mornings certainly make planning a hike challenging. The weather report last night indicated cloudy skies, but no rain; however, this morning, there was plenty of rain, and it was too late to cancel the hike. I hoped for good luck, and was happy that we had just a very slight drizzle as we started out hike. Nothing worth complaining about. Luckily, within minutes, that drizzle fizzled, and we had a dry hike for the remaining two hours.

We welcomed Wesley into the AOC today, and he proved to be a very friendly, interesting conversationalist. We learned a lot about his jobs and his experience as a caver. Hopefully, Wesley didn't mind being with a group who could all be his parents. We kept him engaged!

I loved the playful spirit of the group, several of whom took advantage before the hike of the playground to tackle the slide. Interesting the different skill levels of the sliders. Enough said . . . .
