Another fine day for our Thursday morning hike! Our new guy didn't show up, so we had a group of friendly vets who kept up conversation throughout the hike.

Donna took an early lead up the warm-up hill and kept the lead to the top! Russ put in a great running effort to catch up, but he started a little too late and had to settle for second place.

We saw a beautiful doe near the upper parking lot, and as she ran away, two fawns followed her. Exciting!

Despite the heat and humidity, we kept up a good pace and finished with 5.5 miles. No slackers today!
