We had a great hike today in Mason Mill Park, Ira Melton Park, Lullwater Preserve, and Hahn Woods. We enjoyed the fresh post-rain weather, and were able to ignore the increasing temperature and humidity. We didn't see owls as I hoped, but we did see a green heron (see the photo album!). And we saw pitcher plants! Jeff and Bonnie had never hiked here before, so they got a special treat of a hike that feels like the country but is actually in town. It was probably a bit too long (over 10 miles!) and had a lot of climbing, but I think everyone had a great hike anyway!
