We had perfect weather for our hike at Island Ford this morning.  It was in the mid 70s with sunny skies the whole way.  It was quite humid, though, so we all worked up a good sweat. We had 10 hikers who were all able to maintain our pace with no problem. We covered 6.4 miles with 617 feet of elevation at an average speed of 2.7 mph.  Job well done, folks. The trails were in pretty good shape considering all the rain we have had.  There were a few muddy spots, but not bad.

We welcomed Yvonne on her 8th AOC hike.  Many more to come.

There was lots of talking and laughing, so I'm pretty sure we all had a good time.
