We had a fantastic group of 13 hikers today on our hike around Sope Creek.  We saw many ruins along the way and learned a bit about the history of the Paper and Pulp mills that operated here between 1855 and 1902.  We also discussed the later life of the property as a farm and saw evidence of those operations as well. 

The group kept a steady pace and we were easily able to complete the 5 miles planned for the hike without difficulty.  We had two new menbers to the club join us on today's hike.  Vicki and Laura were both on their second AOC hikes.  Welcome to both of you and we look forward to seeing you on future club events.  ~ Holt
