We had 12 fun hikers today at Island Ford.  It did not seem as hot or humid as the forecast predicted. We were able to maintain a pretty good pace for 5.9 miles, with 620 feet of elevation in 2:05. That's an average of 2.8 mph with no stragglers.  It was a group of strong hikers.

I apologize, but I have tried everything I can think of to link Lee's photos to this write up to no avail. I don't know what I have to do. Let me just say that you were all very photogenic.
