We had a full crew of 15 on our hike at Jones Bridge CRNRA this morning. It was hot, but not as humid as it has been.  I slowed down the pace a bit and everyone seemed to do well.  We covered 5.8 miles with just under 400 feet of elevation in 2:20. A little slower than normal, but it made the hiking much more comfortable.  We passed a box turtle in the trail that I moved to the side.  We also had a Great Blue Heron take flight from a tree next to the trail by the river. That seems to be becoming a normal sight on my hikes. The trails were in great condition and we had no falls. There was lots of talking and laughing, so I think everyone had a good time.
