The ovenight at Mt Yonah was quite fun!
When we gathered, there was some rain. We decided to continue on with the hike and carried our packs up, some of which was in the rain.
We arrived at the top of Mt. Yonah, set up our tents (many thanks to Nahid who is such a pro and so helpful to those of us who have not backpacked in some time or at all).
We gazed at the lights illuminating th other side of the mountain and down below.
The goup decided we would try and build a fire at the fire pit. But the kindling was wet and, depite our best efforts, the wet wood did not compromise.
Still, it was great fun trying to get the little fire to start.
Next time, we will bring the fire starter in our back-pack.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening and night.
