We met at the picnic area near the Visitor Center parking lot where we joined 47 high school students and 2 other adult volunteers. We were briefed on today’s project, reviewed safety procedures, and split into 3 groups. Unfortunately, we were split between two of the three groups. Kirsten and Kieth W were part of group A, Terry and Keith K were part of group B, Mike drove between the three groups. We were spread out over about 2 miles. Our tools were waiting for us at our assigned worksite. All three groups performed cyclic maintenance on the Camp Brumby Trail starting at The Visitor Center and going out the Camp Brumby Trail about two miles. The good thing about today is that we did not have to carry our tools. A John Deere Gator (UTV) dropped our tools off at Camp Brumby and picked them up from us at our last work location.
