Today's hike was a difficult one to plan due to all the rain that caused cancellations for the last couple of weeks. Sue and I made a lot of schedule adjustments to finally make her hike a reality. Even this evening, the chance of showers and even thunderstorms was high . . . but we decided to "just do it," hoping that some of the participants would stay on the hike. . . . and seven members did!

She accommodated her sick co-lead (Joyce) by dropping me off after a mile and a half; the others went over four miles before recognizing that heavy rain was imminent. The hike was accomplished!

I'm so proud of Sue for managing to get so many hikes in while working full time. She's one of our most popular trip leaders, and a wonderful friend to so many. I'm happy that Sue was able to reach this milestone . . . finally! Now, let it rain!!
