We had great weather for our hike at Island Ford this morning. The temperature was in the 70s for the entire hike and the trees kept us well shaded. Twelve of us covered 6.4 miles with 614 feet of elevation in 2:19. That's an average pace of 2.7 mph. It's a whole lot easier when it isn't 90 degrees. There were lots of roots to work our way through, but overall the trails were in very good shape. No mud for a change.
I think everyone had a good time. I know I did.
A big thank you to Joyce for sending me the great pictures she took on the hike. You can view them by clicking the Album Icon above.
