What a grand morning! It was Jeff G.'s 600th AOC event, and since Jeff is a Renegade as well as a regular AOC hiker, his Renegade pals came to our parking lot in the morning to do their own hike and then host an after-party in the parking lot in honor of their good friend. We took photos of the combined groups as well as photos of just the AOC group. How nice it was to see the two groups together. (I miss hanging out with the Renegades, most of whom were avid AOC members before Covid hit!)
Our hike was humid and warm, but we managed to get in about 5.7 miles. Harley was first up the warmup hill, and not far behind was our newbie, Judy, who fit in beautifully with our group. She even joined us for lunch at the North River Tavern! (Welcome to the AOC, Judy!)
We passed Daphne and her visiting daughter on the trail, as well as Susan F. and Fran, who were hiking together today.
Marina was back with us today after her 2 month overseas vacation.
We had a combined group of 14 at lunch . . . like old (pre-Covid ) times. It was really great to hang out with so many friends. ~ Joyce
