A hint of fall today, with low humidity and temperatures staying in the 70's throughout the hike. Some of us sweated, some glistened, and some stayed pretty dry!

As we gathered in the parking lot before the hike, several rescue units parked, getting ready for their rescue practice. Toward the end of our hike, we saw the rescue boat and other workers honing their skills.

We had a great group today, with seasoned vets and a couple of relatively new folks (Katrien on her 2nd hike and Judy on her 14th. I guess Vicki is still a relative newbie with just 17 prior events.)

We hiked to the main park entrance off Hwy. 41, and had a bathroom break. That new parking lot area is beautiful! What an improvement over the old entrance. ~ Joyce
