We could not have asked for better weather on our Hike at Hyde Farm/Mulberry Creek this morning. It was in the 70s for the whole hike and even though it was sunny, we were in the shade most of the time and did not get hot. We had a great crew of 15 hikers who hiked 5.2 miles, with 384 feet of elevation in just over 2 hours. It's so much easier when it isn't in the 90s. The trails were a bit overgrown in places, but otherwise in good shape. No one went swimming on our 14 creek crossings.
We had 2 Newbies on our hike. Martin was on his 2nd AOC hike and Donna was on her 5th. I hope they both had a good time and will join us on many more hikes in the future. Let's not forget the Drewbies. VG was on her 4th hike with me. Larry was on his 7th hike with me and Vicki and Robbie were both on their 9th hike with me. Thanks for coming back folks. I look forward to hiking with you again.
There was a lot of fun being had on this hike, so I think everyone had a good time.
A special thanks to Joyce and Lee for sending me their great pictures of the hike. You can view them by clicking on the Album icon above.
