We had twelve folks on a great hike at Bowmans Island this morning. The weather was not too hot and we were able to keep up a good pace for the entire hike, with no stragglers.  The trails were in great shape with no muddy areas for a change. We  hiked 6.2 miles with 420 feet of elevation at a pace of 2.7 mph. 

We welcomed Joe on his 7th AOC hike and Donna on her eighth. I hope to see both of you on many more hikes. 

There was lots of talking and laughing, so I think everybody had a good time.

For those looking to hike the Laurel Ridge Trail, I checked out the bridge from the Lower Pool side and it is still closed.
