We parked at the Pigeon Hill parking lot and checked in. We did an explanation of today’s workplan, and In addition to us we had 22 volunteers from Allatoona JROTC, KSU Big Sisters, several individuals that helped. The Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club on Friday had placed the first 2 of the 12 horse steps we were to build. As the Crew Leaders built the next steps, we carried Crush & Run, a type of gravel, wood, and tools to the worksite. After three and a half hours we had finished 3 steps and still needed more Crush & Run brought to the worksite for the fourth. We had an unexpected visitor, Ladrick Dominic, the Facilities Manager for Kennesaw, stop by and help. He was pleased on what we accomplished. He will decide how he wants to finish the fourth step and build the remaining 8 steps.
