How amazing it was to start and end our hike with temps in the 60's! We also enjoyed a beautiful stiff breeze, especially as we were going by the lakes. We tried a little side trip on the Pen Women Nature Garden Trail, but only made half the loop before we were thwarted by a large fallen tree. Turning back to retrace our steps, we read the names of these women out loud as we mused about their art. It was just the two of us for this last minute hike and I really enjoyed my one-on-one time with Wilma. I had Bill Withers and Grover Washington, Jr. running through my head:
