The rain bubble held for us today, stopping the rain before the hike and giving us dry but very humid hiking weather. The trails weren't really wet . . . just damp from the rain, which kept down the dust nicely.

Joe and Irina are becoming regulars! It's always nice to have people hike with our group for the first time and keep coming back. That's why this Thursday hike has lasted over 11 years. We're like family.

What a treat to have David V. with us this morning! He had a really tough hike yesterday, so he was willing to slow down to my "fast" pace.

We took several water breaks but still managed to clock in 5.1 miles in 2 hours. I don't think any of us had dry shirts after sweating so much today!
