We had a nice hike today at Vickery Creek on my first hike as a co-lead. The weather was nice and cool at the beginning but I think we all warmed up quickly once we started. We did ~6.2 miles at a moderate pace with around 560 ft. of elevation gain.
I want to thank all the hikers today for their friendliness and encouragement. That made my first co-lead all the better. Thanks to Laura for providing a spider web stick (I only got a faceful of web once!) and to Vicki for urging everyone to clap for me (I didn't get much clapping at the office over the years).
And a special thanks to Joyce as my co-lead and for all the advice and mentoring as I prepared for this hike.
