Henderson Park is not what it used to be! About a third of the park has been closed to hikers so that improvements can be made to the dam and the lake. Right now, there is no lake! And hikers can't go around the lake like we used to do. I'm very grateful to Paul M. and Rio for guiding the group on the trails so that we got in our mileage and ended on time. I would have made a mess of things had I tried to figure out where to go without getting lost.

We had a nice group of vets as well as some newbies - - Yang and Georgann, and Ja'net, who isn't a newbie anymore, but she's new to me. Everyone stayed together well, despite the climbs, descents, and big roots.

We were happy to be able to see the park in it's present state, because we'll really appreciate the trails when the construction is complete. ~ Joyce
