We had 12 spooky hikers on our Alpha Loop-ish Halloween Hike this morning.  It was completely sunny and a little chilly so everybody crowded into the sunny spots we passed. We all warmed up as the hike progressed. We did a tour of Alpharetta City Center, then Brook Street Park, Thompson Street Park, Thompson Street (for the house decorations), and then through Avalon. We then retraced our steps back to city hall. We viewed a fair number of the scarecrows in the annual scarecrow competition, including the winner of the Celebrity Crow competition, Skelvis. It was Elvis with a skull head. Who'd a thunk.  Joyce handed out some of her home made bat rocks to everybody. They are really neat.  I already broke mine. Ghosts did it.

We welcomed Newbie Carolyn on her fourth event, but her first actual hike. She fit in well with the group, and I hope to see her on many more hikes in the future.
