Write Up:
Beautiful fall day on the Coosa Backcountry Trail. We completed 13.8 miles, 3,878 elevation gain, in 6 1/2 hours with a 20 minute lunch break. We had a strong group of hikers who conquered Coosa and Slaughter. Leaves were down which gave us great views of the mountains. Good trail conditions with overgrowth died back and no insects. Huge thank you to Candy and James for their expertise on the trail.
