A really enjoyable 4 miler this morning! The weather was great (we luckily missed the morning shower), and the chilly air quickly gave way to temperatures that kept us comfortable even in short sleeves.

We had a bit of added fun at Martin's Landing. There were horseshoes left on the ground, so we took turns trying our lucky at throwing them at the designated poles. Most of us were quite pitiful, but both Robbie and Yvonne showed signs of real throwing skills.

We also had fun on some of the playground equipment, including the tire swing and the real swing.

On the way back to Riverside Park, we toured through the Stations of the Cross behind St. Andrew church. We had the place to ourselves this morning!

Yvonne brought two newbie friends who had their first hike with the AOC this morning. Welcome to the club, Cindy and Mary. I hope to see you on more D1 hikes as you build up to some moderate D2 events. ~ Joyce
