There is nothing finer than a beautiful day at a beautiful park hiking with a great group. That describes our Sunday at Sweetwater Creek. We had a nice mix of veteran and new hikers that enjoyed chatting and getting to know each other. We stayed together nicely, only spreading out a bit as we scrambled over the rocks along the creek and climbed the long ascent on the Yellow Trail. I didn't get us back to the trailhead at the appointed time, but we hit the distance goal of 8 miles (including the walk to our cars) and a pace of 2.5 mph. A fine autumn hike!
