What a sweet little hike we had today at Leita Thompson. It was extra special, because we met an AOC newbie - - Franziska - - and we saw the demolition of Leita Thompson's big house, garage, and boat. One of the construction workers explained that the small house Leita Thompson called home will remain standing. The area where the big house was will become a park-like area with a trail going to it. Also gone is the wooden community building by the lake. Just the foundation remains there.

The morning was chilly and overcast, but by the time our hike ended, we had bright sunshine, allowing us to stay nice and comfortable.

We hiked just over 5 miles today, and then headed to lunch at Panera, where Joe and five blondes enjoyed lunch and great conversation. ~ Joyce
